2011 CAKES SO FAR

OK, I know I haven’t added any of the most recent cakes, mostly because over the last few months (starting in October of 2010) I have had to have 4 different surgeries. Both of my shoulders have now been replaced, my thyroid was removed and the last one to help with a female problem. Needless to say, even though I was able to do a few cakes, my mind has been on other things than this blog.

So here goes…I do NOT remember what order these came in so I will just post the photos and tell you what they were for.

The above was as you can tell a birthday cake for a woman who loves water lilies.

For a young man who loves music and lead our Church services in music until he graduated from Basic training.

Two little girl cousins were baptized on the same day.






One of our sons likes mustang cars so this is what we did for his birthday this year

This was done for another son for his Birthday....he owns his own towing company.

Believe it or not this was a grooms cake...they both loved weight lifting.

One of the ladies that ran the USO on base here was ‘retiring’ so they had us do this cake for her.

More Cakes

It has been a little while that we have done much cake work... my shoulders are bothering me a bit. But today I am adding 2 more we have done in the last week. It seems we do them in spurts. Busy busy busy then a rest.

Gil made Mothers Day cupcakes for the ladies at the assisted living center he now works at. I was happy to do the flowers out of fondant... they turned out pretty good.

5 Babies and a Shower

I have never 'named' a cake before...this one I couldn't help but name. It is called 'Mommies first Play Date'. We made it for a shower given for 5 women all due this month. What a fun one to do.
